The settings worth changing first
Drag Modifier Key
This is one of the most important preference points for daily feel.
- In
Snap Assist, it controls when dragging becomes a snapping action. - In
Auto Flow, it participates in tiling/floating drag behavior.
Mouse Modifier
When held, Tangrid supports:
- left-drag to move a window
- right-drag to resize a window
This is especially valuable for mouse-driven users.
Window Preview Height
Both Window Switcher and Dock Preview have their own Window Preview Height setting.
A practical rule of thumb:
- use smaller values on smaller screens
- use larger values on large displays if preview readability matters more
Window controls position
This affects where preview-card controls appear.
If you are used to standard macOS controls on the left, that may feel most natural. If you want cleaner cards, you may prefer right-side placement or even hiding them.
